The Office: Business Ethics - TV Series
Jim vs. Dwight faded into the background in The Office season four, but was back in a hilarious way tonight as “Business Ethics” set the standard for the rest of The Office season five to be measured by. I really think this was a great episode all around; Jim vs. Dwight was one aspect, Jim’s keeping track of time theft was a great comedic subplot, but the Michael/Holly interactions really defined the episode. Steve Carell and Amy Ryan are probably the two strongest actors on the show, and this episode gave them plenty of meaty material to work with.

Holly has really stepped up as a character and changed the whole landscape of the show in a very short period of time. Seriously, it’s hard to believe that this was only her third episode…whereas in the first two (last season’s finale and this season’s premiere), she was primarily just there for comedic value and to add a new love interest for Michael, tonight we had reason to really be attached to her.
While they’ve established that she’s as much of a dork as he is, they also made it clear tonight that she’s the adult in the room, one who looks destined to make more of an adult out of Michael in the process. Michael’s character is too over-the-top and stupid for me at times, and this new interaction with Holly adds a lot of dimension and is now finally making him one of the most interesting parts of the show to me.
The cold open tonight was brilliant. Jim’s announcement of engagement between he and Pam (with her on speaker phone) made for a lot of great lines in return. My favorite was Kevin asking if he had to get them a gift if he already got her and Roy one, and Jim immediately saying “Yes.” Also, Andy: “A little close to my engagement there, Tuna. What’s your game?” Jim: “To get married.” I honestly think the whole sequence was one of the best cold opens in the entire run of the series.
Who knew Michael’s offense would be, if minors? It fades in comparison to all of them, Ryan and the little episode in the past season. Apparently, this race was so good that Ryan connected with a girl who saw Joanna of “Survivor.” Joanna is this?
So, back to Meredith. Bruce with his happens once a month over six years. Michael believes that this is not bad, and she loves “to sleep.” You do not know whether that is true, but it does not seem as steak.
The Side Story was an emanation day of ethics, Dwight, where he claimed that the company is not time lost. Jim and a stopwatch, to demonstrate this assertion wrong. It can sneeze and pee at work. Unfortunately, it could not have sex with Angela on his desk.
What Holly and Michael go: There is still hope. How these two can not connect? If it does not become a couple, it could be that they are from the uterus or even slightly. They are too big. You have to believe, bad for Michael, draws its charm and double-click lobster to the attention of Holly. How very “romantic Business” by him.
Michael May women do not know, but he does not know Dunder-Mifflin. It has become apparent that they like better than a voucher business ethics - and perhaps as a steak. All appointments for next week. - Rachel Cericola. from any sources
